Hiring an Asbestos Company

Hiring an Asbestos Management Company

Asbestos management is a common issue faced by property owners, construction companies and health and safety officers.  Before and during the works, the responsible person on site is legally liable to make sure that any Asbestos found in the premises is removed and disposed of in a safe manner and as per local and EU legislation.

Hiring an expert for the management of any asbestos and asbestos-contaminated materials will ensure that removal is carried out with minimal exposure to the surrounding environment with controlled conditions and disposal is effected in a permitted facility, as required by Eu and local regulations.

When choosing an asbestos removal and management company,  one must ensure that the company chosen holds all the necessary licenses and permits required both for the removal and the disposal of asbestos waste. Technicians carrying out the job need to be trained and certified for such work. The client will then be provided with a certificate of disposal of the material showing that all the material removed from the site was disposed of as per legal obligations and within one year from removal.  The amount (by weight) stated on the certificate should equate to the same amount of material removed from the site.

We, as PT Matic Environmental Services Ltd are proud to be the only contractor on the Maltese Islands to have a third party liability insurance in place that covers our clients, their employees and also those within exposure distance from the working areas.

Hiring a licensed asbestos management company is the safest and wisest decision you can take to protect yourself, your clients, your loved ones and anyone who might be at risk.
